Hair Transplant for Tallinn & Estonia Patients
Looking for a reliable hair transplant but can't find the right option in Tallinn? Rubenhair is a hair transplant clinic located in Riga, Latvia (Republikas laukums 3–12, LV-1010). To be completely clear: we do not have a clinic in Tallinn — the procedure takes place in Riga. Many Estonian patients choose this route because Riga is just a short flight from Tallinn and all communication is handled in Estonian.
We have been operating for over 10 years and have helped 5000+ patients. We offer manual FUE (scar-free method) and DHI, plus PRP as an adjunctive treatment. Consultation is free and available in Estonian, Russian and English.
Hair transplant for Estonian patients
Rubenhair actively supports patients travelling from Estonia. We have an Estonian-language coordinator who guides you through the whole journey — from your first enquiry to aftercare. This means every question, document and instruction reaches you in a language you fully understand.
A hair transplant is a planned (elective) procedure that aims to cover thinning or bald areas using your own permanent hair follicles. Before any decision we always assess the causes of your hair loss, because a transplant is not suitable for every case — sometimes diagnosis and conservative treatment come first.
If you are considering a transplant, compare FUE and DHI methods to understand which approach fits your situation.
Getting from Tallinn to Riga: RIX flight ~1h35 or bus
The trip from Tallinn to Riga is one of the biggest advantages for Estonian patients — it is short and convenient.
- Flight: a direct flight from Tallinn to Riga Airport (RIX) takes about 1 hour 35 minutes. The clinic in the city centre is a quick transfer from the airport.
- Bus: regular coach lines connect central Tallinn and Riga; the journey takes around 4–4.5 hours and is an affordable alternative to flying.
- Car: driving the Via Baltica also takes roughly 4–4.5 hours.
The short distance means the trip is manageable in one or two days and follow-up does not require a long journey. We help with planning and can suggest accommodation.
Estonian-language consultation & coordination
You can start without leaving home. We offer a free online consultation in Estonian: you send photos of your hairline and thinning areas and receive an initial assessment of the suitable method and the estimated number of grafts.
- Consultation in Estonian, Russian or English.
- An Estonian-language coordinator handles communication, scheduling and questions before and after the procedure.
- Clear aftercare and recovery instructions in a language you understand.
Your final treatment plan and price are always confirmed at the in-person free consultation. Reach us by phone or WhatsApp at +371 267 777 76 or via our contact page.
What to expect: FUE, price €2–3/graft
Manual FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a scar-free method: follicles are removed from the donor area one by one and transplanted into the thinning area. With DHI, implantation is performed using a specialised tool that allows precise placement without pre-made channels.
Pricing is based on our own calculator logic: from €2–3 per graft. Approximate ranges depend on the extent of hair loss:
- NW2: from ~€1,600–3,600
- NW3: from ~€2,400–4,800
- NW4: from ~€3,200–6,000
- NW5: from ~€4,000–7,500
These are starting prices — the exact amount depends on your individual case and is confirmed at your consultation. Read more about hair transplant cost or discuss an estimate at your free consultation.
Planning your trip & aftercare
For the procedure day we recommend staying in Riga at least one night so you can rest and have an initial check before travelling back. Your Estonian-language coordinator helps arrange the schedule so your flight or bus fits around the procedure and recovery.
- Before the trip: online consultation, treatment plan and preparation instructions.
- In Riga: the procedure and an initial check; clear recovery instructions.
- After returning to Estonia: online follow-up in Estonian; we monitor your recovery remotely if needed.
Riga's proximity to Tallinn makes aftercare far more convenient than travelling to distant countries. As an adjunctive option, your plan may include PRP treatment, whose evidence base is still developing and which is used as a supportive, not standalone, measure.
