Our Doctors and Medical Team at Rubenhair
A hair transplant is a medical procedure, and the result depends largely on the team that performs it. Rubenhair is a hair transplant clinic in Riga, Latvia, specialising in manual FUE, DHI and PRP, and we welcome patients from across the Baltic region, including Estonian-speaking patients supported by a dedicated coordinator.
On this page we introduce our medical team, our qualifications and our methods so you can make an informed decision. Our track record is client-confirmable: 10+ years of practice and 5,000+ patients. We do not offer outcome guarantees — a doctor assesses your individual suitability and likely result in person at the free consultation.
Our medical team
Every procedure is carried out by trained medical staff under a doctor's supervision. Our team includes licensed doctors as well as experienced technicians and nurses who assist with graft preparation and implantation.
An Estonian-speaking coordinator supports patients throughout the process. At your consultation you can ask which doctor will perform your procedure and review their qualifications and experience.
Qualifications and licensing
Rubenhair operates as a licensed medical facility, registered with the Latvian Health Inspectorate (Veselības inspekcija) under no. . Licensing details for the facility and staff are available to patients on request.
Our aim is transparency: before your procedure you can ask which doctor will treat you and what their qualifications and experience are. Specific certifications, clinical training and registration numbers will be added to this page by the clinic in verified form.
Our manual-FUE approach and standards
We primarily use the manual FUE method (Follicular Unit Extraction), in which follicles are extracted one by one without a linear incision, so no visible linear scar is left behind. We also offer the DHI method, where grafts are placed using a specialised implanter.
Our standards include a sterile working environment, careful graft handling and planning of each patient's individual hairline and density. If you wish, compare the methods on our FUE vs DHI page or read more about DHI hair transplant. PRP is an adjunctive option to support hair condition, not a stand-alone replacement for a transplant.
What to expect at your free consultation
The free consultation is where a doctor assesses the causes of your hair loss and your suitability for a procedure. It can take place in Estonian, Russian or English. It typically includes:
- assessment of your hairline, donor area and hair-loss pattern;
- a discussion of suitable methods (manual FUE, DHI, and PRP as an adjunctive treatment where appropriate);
- an estimate of the grafts likely needed and a personalised quote (from €2–3 per graft, with the final price confirmed at the consultation);
- answers to your questions about the procedure and recovery.
Riga is about a 1 h 35 min flight from Tallinn (RIX). Contact us to arrange a suitable time. A doctor can assess your likely results only after examining you in person at the consultation.
Safety and accreditation
Patient safety is the foundation of every medical procedure. We work in sterile conditions and follow the requirements that apply to medical facilities. Before any procedure, a doctor assesses your health and any possible contraindications.
Every elective procedure carries certain risks and suitability is individual — a hair transplant is therefore not right for everyone. For more on the diagnosis and treatment of the causes of hair loss, see our hair loss and trichology pages. For general information about the procedure, see hair transplant.
